Eleni Volonakis is a formally trained pianist and experienced musical educator. She looks forward to working with your child in an intimate, one-on-one environment.
Eleni was born in Greece on the island of Rhodes. She began to take piano lessons at the age of five. Her instructor, Irene Spanou, was the first to recognize her talent. At the age of twelve, she prompted Eleni’s parents to enroll her in private, Master Class, lessons with Achilles Kolasis, an accomplished Classical Pianist, who taught at the “Ecole Normale de Musique” in Luzerne, Switzerland. During this same period, Eleni was taking classes in Music Theory and Choir.

In 2002, she qualified for her first Degree in Piano, from the Corelli’s Conservatory. In 2003, following her graduation and as a result of her exceptional knowledge of the instruments, she was employed as a Piano and Electrical Keyboard teacher at the conservatory.

Her love of teaching and ability to connect with all students at different levels, addressing each one’s specific needs, created an optimal learning environment.

In 2005 she began employment at the private Rodion Pedia School (Elementary/High School) as a teacher of Piano and Music Theory. “…, Eleni managed to cultivate her students –imparting her knowledge and love of music.
In 2006, Eleni received her second Degree in Music Theory and Harmony from the Music Academy Conservatory in Athens.

In 2010, she opened her own Piano Studio. Accepting children at ages four and up, she employed highly effective techniques to make lessons fun and enjoyable for her students. The lessons include more than just a basic understanding of playing the piano. They strive to inject a sense of Music Theory into each lesson.

Eleni has experience with children with learning difficulties. They included students with disabilities such as dyslexia and ADHD, etc. Her patience and love of music create an environment in which students look forward to each new class. Many evolving into lifelong friends, all connected with a mutual love of music.
